Vincent Browne serves as the dynamic Chief Executive Officer of Alternus Clean Energy, a NASDAQ-listed company at the forefront of sustainable energy innovation. With over two decades of senior and C-suite management expertise in finance and operations, Vincent is the driving force behind Alternus’ strategic expansion across America and Europe.

Vincent’s career is distinguished by his exceptional leadership in orchestrating complex M&A transactions, navigating the intricacies of project finance, and executing high-impact capital market strategies. His deep understanding of both public and private sectors has been honed through his tenure as CEO and Interim CFO of multiple organizations, including OTC-listed companies. As a trusted strategic advisor, he has guided companies through pivotal M&A deals, spinouts, and corporate restructurings, consistently delivering value and driving growth.

An entrepreneur at heart, Vincent has successfully founded and led technology startups, steering them to industry prominence. His strategic vision was further sharpened during his tenure as Head of Procurement at Esat Telecom Group, a NASDAQ-listed telecommunications leader, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory.

Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from University College Dublin, and his commitment to innovation extends to his active involvement in the commercialization of research and technology projects at Trinity College Dublin’s Technology and Enterprise Campus. CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER

Taliesin Durant is the Chief Legal Officer of Alternus Clean Energy, where she has been instrumental in steering the company’s legal strategy since her appointment as General Counsel in 2018. With over two decades of senior-level experience in both corporate and public enterprises, Taliesin’s solutions-oriented and methodical approach ensures that Alternus navigates complex legal landscapes with precision and foresight.

Taliesin’s extensive career includes significant leadership roles where she provided critical legal guidance across a variety of sectors. Before joining Alternus, she was the President of Dart Business Services LLC, a consultancy firm she founded in 2010. Dart Business Services specialized in delivering comprehensive legal and corporate secretary services to both public and private companies, emulating the support provided by an in-house counsel.

Her strategic legal acumen was further honed during her tenure as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Flint Telecom Group. Prior to that, Taliesin served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Semotus Solutions, where she played a pivotal role in the company’s evolution from an OTC Markets listing to trading on the AMEX and eventually the NASDAQ.

Taliesin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College and earned her Juris Doctor from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, completing her final year at Santa Clara University School of Law. She is also a proud member of the California State Bar Association. Taliesin’s profound legal expertise and leadership are critical to the ongoing success and compliance of Alternus Clean Energy as it continues to expand its global footprint in the renewable energy sector.

david Farrell

CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER

David Farrell is the Chief Commercial Officer at Alternus Clean Energy, where he leads all commercial and M&A activities, while also spearheading the company’s funding and investment strategies in collaboration with the CFO and CEO. Since joining the executive management team in 2022, David has played a crucial role in driving Alternus’ growth and expansion in the renewable energy sector.

With over two decades of experience in capital markets, David brings a wealth of expertise in project finance, infrastructure, renewables, and the broader finance industry. His strategic vision and deep understanding of financial structures have been instrumental in advancing Alternus’ commercial objectives.

Before joining Alternus, David served as Director of Corporate Finance at Grant Thornton, where he provided expert advisory services on a range of financial transactions. His career also includes significant roles such as Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Duff & Phelps, and Regional Head of Debt Structuring at FGS, where he honed his skills in navigating complex M&A deals and structuring large-scale financings. Throughout his career, David has held various management positions in corporate, institutional, and commercial banking, alongside serving on several advisory boards, further enriching his multifaceted expertise.

David’s extensive experience on both sides of corporate, real estate, infrastructure, and renewable financings, combined with his proficiency in executing M&A transactions, positions him as a key driver of Alternus’ commercial success. His leadership ensures that Alternus continues to capitalize on emerging opportunities and maintains its competitive edge in the global clean energy market.

larry Farrell

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Larry Farrell is the Chief Information Officer at Alternus Clean Energy, where he plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s technological and operational expansion across Europe. Joining the team in 2019, Larry was drawn by the company’s ambitious growth plans and the opportunity to contribute to one of the fastest-growing industries in the region. His extensive background in senior leadership roles, spanning over 20 years, equips him with the expertise needed to support Alternus’ dynamic operational landscape.

Larry’s career is marked by his success in managing large-scale operations and service delivery across both startups and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to his role at Alternus, Larry served as Senior Director of Global Operations at Xerox, where he was responsible for consolidating and developing support systems and infrastructure on a global scale. In this role, he effectively managed a diverse team of over 300 professionals across multiple business lines, demonstrating his ability to build and lead cross-functional global teams in a complex international environment.

His core competencies include the development and management of operational systems that enable growth while maintaining rigorous control and efficiency at all levels. Larry’s leadership ensures that Alternus Clean Energy continues to leverage cutting-edge technologies and robust operational frameworks to maintain its competitive edge in the renewable energy market.

Larry is ITIL and Lean Six Sigma certified, further underscoring his commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Dundalk Institute of Technology and holds a Diploma in Management from Dublin Business School and in Printing and Graphic Communication from Technological University Dublin. His diverse educational background and certifications, combined with his extensive industry experience, make Larry a key leader in driving the technological and operational success of Alternus Clean Energy.

Gary Swan

CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER

Gary Swan serves as the Chief Technical Officer at Alternus Clean Energy, where he brings over 30 years of construction and engineering expertise to the forefront of the company’s renewable energy projects. Since joining Alternus in 2021, Gary has been pivotal in advancing the design, construction, operation, and sale of nearly 1 GWp of renewable energy assets. His remarkable track record is underscored by his ability to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, while fostering successful client and partner relationships.

Prior to his role at Alternus, Gary played a key role in the construction of several large-scale wind and solar projects as Acting Technical Director for Actis Energy’s portfolio companies, AELA Energia in Chile and BioTherm Energy in Africa. His leadership was crucial in ensuring the successful completion of these complex projects, which further solidified his reputation as an industry leader in renewable energy development.

Gary’s extensive experience also includes nearly six years at Mainstream Renewable Power, where he served as Head of Construction. In this role, he oversaw the delivery of wind and solar projects across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Africa, taking them from construction through to operation. His role involved managing key relationships with Mainstream’s JV partners, including Actis and their JV platforms, Lekela Power (Africa) and AELA Energia. Gary was an integral member of the project Steering Committees and served as an alternate director on project company boards. Additionally, he held interim responsibility for all safety, security, and quality aspects within the Mainstream group over a two-year period.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and an MSc in Project Management from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at University College Dublin. His technical expertise, combined with his project management acumen, makes him a driving force in ensuring that Alternus Clean Energy continues to lead in the global renewable energy sector.

John has been a director at the company since 2017. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Doonbeg Group Inc., a New York-based advisory and merchant banking firm.

A seasoned Senior Executive, John brings extensive expertise in leadership, strategy, and operational management within global markets. His career highlights include significant achievements in international trade and finance, with a focus on the transportation, defense, and infrastructure sectors, particularly in emerging markets.

John’s professional journey is enriched by his service as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa and Micronesia.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and International Marketing from Manhattan College, New York.
